HOUSTON, Texas — A police pursuit involving a stolen vehicle ended in a crash on the southbound State Highway 6 overpass over Westpark around 4 a.m., leaving one person dead and two others detained.

According to the Houston Police Department, the pursuit ended when the suspects crashed the stolen vehicle on the overpass. Two suspects were taken into custody at the scene.

One person was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police did not say how the individual died. The deceased was located on the feeder road, while the crashed vehicle remained on the overpass.

One Houston Police Department patrol unit also appeared to have been damaged during the incident.
