Man shot in chest, leg following argument in southwest Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A man was hospitalized in stable condition after he was shot following an argument in southwest Houston at 10 p.m. Saturday night.

Officers responded to a witness’s 911 call in the 11300 block of Bob White and found the man shot in the chest and leg. The shooting occurred near an apartment complex exit, between the exit and the sidewalk.

Video showed the man and the suspect arguing and indicated they appeared to know each other. The suspect then drove past the man and fired multiple shots before fleeing in a vehicle.

Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the man, believed to be 24 or 25 years old, to a local hospital.

Officers are reviewing video evidence, speaking with witnesses and attempting to interview the man at the hospital. No weapons were recovered at the scene.

No description of the suspect or vehicle was available. Police said there is no threat to the public.
