HOUSTON, TX — A 38-year-old man was critically injured after being ejected from a Jeep during a crash in the 7200 block of the outbound Katy Freeway around 9:15 p.m.
Police said the red Jeep collided with a blue Toyota Camry before rolling multiple times. The Jeep’s driver was transported to a hospital in critical condition and underwent surgery.
The Camry sustained major damage, but its 38-year-old driver suffered only minor injuries.
Speed is believed to have been a factor, with police saying the Jeep may have been traveling at a high rate of speed. Investigators have not determined whether intoxication played a role.
