HOUSTON – A woman in her mid-20s was struck and killed by a gray or black sedan on North Wayside Drive near Little York Road before the driver fled the scene.

Investigators said conflicting witness statements indicate the woman may have been walking or sitting in the roadway when she was struck. The vehicle’s make and model are unknown.

The woman was transported to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Investigators are searching for surveillance video, additional witnesses, and vehicle debris.
