HARRIS COUNTY, TX — Dr. Matthews is calling for evidence to support a reported $20,000 claim against Lanita Hale. In a public statement, Dr. Matthews said Verna Caddie filed a small-claims case against Hale in Harris County Justice of the Peace Court, Precinct 4, Place 2, rather than District Court.

“I posted the information,” Dr. Matthews said. She said Hale had stated in writing that she did not send the information to Dr. Matthews, give it to her or post it on her page. Dr. Matthews questioned what evidence supports the claim against Hale and said the allegations have not been proven in court.

Dr. Matthews also said Caddie previously sought a protective order against her without prevailing and filed two separate $20,000 lawsuits against her. She urged the public to review the court records and called on Caddie to show the evidence behind the claim against Hale.
