MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX — The case against Victor L. Corey Paillet III, known online as “Kandy Red Bread,” was reset after a Sept. 24 appearance in Judge Grant’s 9th District Court. Judge Hansen presided. The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office said Paillet is due in court Nov. 4 at 1:30 p.m. for a plea or trial status hearing.

During an update after the hearing, Dr. Matthews, who attended the hearing, said prosecutors were gathering more information. She raised the possibility of additional victims but did not say any had been newly identified. She said Paillet looked straight ahead during the hearing and appeared to have shaved his head.

Paillet was arrested in January following an investigation involving a 2-year-old child in Porter. He was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child and promotion of child pornography, both first-degree felonies. Investigators said at the time that there could be additional victims.
