HOUSTON, TX — Officers responding to a crash around 1:40 a.m. found a victim with a gunshot wound to their back while responding to a crash on Mesa near Nyssa.

According to the Houston Police Department, a security guard at an apartment complex under construction heard a loud noise and gunshots before officers found the victim.
