HOUSTON, Texas – A homeowner’s adult son shot a man who was found in the backyard of a residence in the 300 block of Glenburnie around 11:30 p.m., police said.
The homeowners heard a noise and saw a van outside their residence that they considered suspicious. They checked their backyard and found a suspect who approached the homeowner.
The homeowner’s son came outside a short time later and fired toward the suspect. Responding officers found the suspect with two non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to his lower extremities. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital.
Police described both the homeowner’s son and the suspect as being in their early 20s.
There are no outstanding suspects. Officers are checking the license plate of a vehicle involved in the incident.
