HOUSTON, TX — A man and a woman were wounded when suspects opened fire during a confrontation in the 800 block of Grow Lane, according to the Houston Police Department.

Northwest Division officers responded to a shooting call around 9 p.m. and found a man with a gunshot wound to the ankle area and a woman with a gunshot wound to the upper left arm. Both were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the suspects arrived with a group of people to confront another group at the location. As the argument escalated, the suspects fired into the group, striking the two victims.

The reason for the original dispute remains unclear. Officers obtained a description of the suspects’ vehicle and broadcast it to nearby officers.

The suspects remained at large, and the investigation is ongoing.
