HOUSTON, TX — A man was fatally shot at a condominium complex in southwest Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

Officers responded to a shooting call around 10:15 p.m. in the 12500 block of Sandpiper. Houston Fire Department personnel were already at the scene and had pronounced the man deceased.

Police said the shooting happened outside in a common area. Firefighters described the victim as likely being in his 40s. He had not been identified, and police did not know whether he lived at the complex.

No weapons were recovered. Police did not know how many shots were fired or how many times the victim was struck.

No suspect information or motive was available.
