HUMBLE, Texas — A former employee has been charged after allegedly stabbing a worker three times during an argument at Baan Thai Cuisine, according to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office. The victim is now in stable condition and expected to survive.

Deputies responded around 6:50 p.m. Oct. 26 to a weapons disturbance at the family-owned Thai restaurant in the 5300 block of FM 1960 Road East, near Atascocita.
They found a male employee with stab wounds to his chest and neck. Customers were already helping the victim when deputies arrived. Deputies provided first aid before paramedics transported him to a hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
The constable’s office identified the suspect as Alavanna Facundo and said she allegedly stabbed the employee three times with a knife during the disturbance.
Facundo previously worked at the restaurant. Officials said she and the victim knew each other and had argued over personal issues before the stabbing. Their exact relationship was unclear.
Facundo ran out through the restaurant’s back door and was taken into custody as she attempted to leave the scene. Deputies recovered a knife at the location.
Fewer than 10 customers were inside the restaurant when the stabbing occurred.
Facundo was booked into the Harris County Jail on a charge of aggravated assault with serious bodily injury. The case is assigned to the 174th District Court. Bond information was pending at the time of the constable’s update.
The investigation remains ongoing.
