HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A woman died following a two-vehicle crash in the 18200 block of North Freeway on Sunday, Nov. 1, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Laine Cramer was driving a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta southbound in the far-left lane when she failed to maintain a single lane, struck multiple delineators and an impact attenuator, then began rotating on the roadway, authorities said.

A southbound 2025 Jeep Cherokee struck the right side of the Volkswagen.

ESD 11 transported Cramer to HCA Northwest Hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.

The Jeep driver showed no signs of intoxication and was released from the scene.

A driver also struck an HCSO patrol vehicle that was blocking the freeway for the crash. Injuries in that collision were unknown.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating both crashes.
