HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Deputies responded to a shooting call around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 11900 block of Proctor and found a 36-year-old woman deceased from a gunshot wound inside a home, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

A neighbor called after witnessing a disturbance between the woman and a man about 50 years old. Deputies located the man a short distance from the home and took him into custody. Homicide investigators were questioning him.

The sheriff’s office said the man and woman lived together and the shooting appeared to stem from a domestic disturbance. Investigators had yet to determine a motive.
