HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A 13-year-old boy was fatally stabbed Tuesday evening in northwest Harris County, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies detained a 17-year-old suspect at the scene.
Deputies responded to the 3200 block of Bolton Gardens around 8:30 p.m. after neighbors reported a disturbance. They found the boy wounded and he was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The sheriff’s office said the altercation began in front of the suspect’s home. Witnesses told investigators the 17-year-old chased several juveniles down the street and around a corner, where they said he stabbed the boy.
Investigators believe the teens knew one another. The sheriff’s office said investigators recovered the weapon and were working to download video of the incident, identify others who were there and determine what led to the stabbing.
