HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A hearing on a protective order filed against Sarah Fields drew a large crowd and officers from multiple agencies to the Harris County Juvenile Justice Center earlier today. The protective order involved Fields and two other women who enhanced an audio recording they said suggested possible foul play in the Nolan Wells case. Fields had allegedly started to harass the two women online because of the audio recording.
People on both sides yelled inside before the hearing and again outside afterward, where officers gathered before the crowd dispersed peacefully without violence.
Dr. Candice Matthews and Quanell X attended in part because Dr. Matthews alleges Texas attorney CJ Grisham, who represented Fields in the protective order hearing, called Black women “bitches” and “hoes.”
The case was dismissed for not meeting the criteria of a protective order.
