Wilmington Police investigating fatal shooting on New Castle Avenue

WILMINGTON, DE – Wilmington Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the 900 block of New Castle Avenue. File Photo (August 2025) The incident took place at approximately 3:18 p.m. on September 21, 2025. Officers responded and located a 36-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries. The investigation is ongoing, and additional details will be released when available. Good Samaritans help save man in mental health crisis on Victorville freeway overpass

VICTORVILLE, CA – A mental health crisis prompted a swift and compassionate response from civilians and a Sheriff’s Department employee after an adult male was seen on the ledge of a freeway overpass. The incident occurred around 1:27 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2025, near Bear Valley Road and Amargosa Road. According to the Victorville Police Department, multiple reports were received about a man climbing a chain-link fence and sitting atop the structure facing northbound traffic. Before deputies arrived, two nearby civilians and a civilian employee of the Sheriff’s Department intervened and were able to safely guide the man back over the ledge, restraining him to prevent any further danger. Two men charged with manslaughter in 2017 fatal shooting on Antoine Drive

HOUSTON, TX – Charges have been filed against two suspects in connection with the 2017 fatal shooting of a man at 6610 Antoine Drive. According to the Houston Police Department Homicide Division, the shooting occurred at approximately 11:55 p.m. on January 14, 2017. The victim, identified as 19-year-old Jeremiah Tillis, was driving through a business center parking lot when unknown suspects opened fire. Tillis was struck, lost control of his vehicle, and crashed into a sign post. Following a joint investigation with the Spring ISD Police Department, detectives identified Antonio Diecarlo Hughes and Jason Wells, both 26, as suspects. Man charged with child endangerment after crash injured three unrestrained children in north Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A man is facing felony charges after causing a crash that injured three unrestrained children in his vehicle. The incident occurred around 9:00 p.m. on September 19, 2025, in the 13600 block of Walters Road. According to Constable Mark Herman’s Office, deputies responded to the scene and determined that the driver, identified as Juan Sanchez, was responsible for the crash. According to Constable Mark Herman, three children inside Sanchez’s vehicle were not properly restrained and sustained injuries as a result of the collision. Sanchez was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Child Endangerment. His bond was set at $7,500 out of the 496th District Court.

STOCKTON, CA – A 36-year-old woman was arrested following an attempted kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon involving a child and three other individuals in the Civic District. According to police, the incident occurred around 7:05 p.m. in the 400 block of West Poplar Street. A 14-year-old male was standing in front of his residence when the suspect, identified as Apolonia Plazola, attempted to lure him into her vehicle. A 45-year-old female confronted the suspect, who then brandished a firearm and attempted to strike the woman with the vehicle. Man killed after losing control of motorcycle on Route 422 in North Coventry Township

NORTH COVENTRY TOWNSHIP, PA – A 34-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash early Sunday morning on Route 422 west. The crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. on September 21, 2025, near mile marker 171.4. According to the North Coventry Township Police Department, Dylan McConnon, of Pottstown, was operating a 2019 Harley-Davidson motorcycle while traveling from the Route 100 south ramp to Route 422 west. McConnon failed to negotiate a right-hand curve at the end of the ramp, causing the motorcycle to skid, fall on its side, and slide across both lanes before striking the center guide rail. According to the Lancaster Township Police Department, officers responded on July 22, 2025, to a report of a domestic incident. The investigation revealed that Green-Almodóvar was involved in a verbal altercation with the woman in a parking lot when he allegedly struck her multiple times, pinned her against a vehicle, and strangled her. UPPER PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP, PA – A juvenile was injured after being struck by a vehicle while riding an e-bicycle near Center Ice on Penco Road in the Oaks section of Upper Providence Township. The incident occurred Saturday afternoon around 1:45 p.m. First responders from the Upper Providence Township Police and Fire Departments provided medical aid before the juvenile was transported to a nearby trauma center for treatment.
