18-year-old arrested for double shooting on South Harrison Street in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DE – An 18-year-old has been arrested in connection with a double shooting that occurred on September 1 in the 200 block of South Harrison Street. According to Wilmington Police, officers responded to the scene at approximately 11:59 a.m. and located two male victims—one 24 years old and the other 18—both suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to the hospital in stable condition. Detective Joran Merced of the Criminal Investigations Division led the case and identified Edward Jones, 18, as the suspect. Jones was taken into custody without incident on September 13. Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a golf cart that occurred Sunday evening in the Pot-Nets Bayside community.

On September 14, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., a Venom EV Golf Cart was traveling north on Piney Crest Lane when the front passenger from the golf cart fell and was critically injured. Although the golf cart did not strike another object and sustained no damage, the incident is being investigated by the Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit as a fatal crash. The passenger, a 35-year-old woman from Millsboro, was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is being withheld until her family is notified. HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office arrested two suspects after a vehicle pursuit ended near 9799 Antoine Drive and West Road in northwest Harris County. The incident began when deputies attempted to stop a reckless driver near the 2200 block of North Sam Houston Tollway West. The driver refused to stop, leading deputies on a chase. HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to an H-E-B parking lot Monday morning after receiving reports of a two-year-old child locked inside an SUV that was not running. Upon arrival, deputies found the child sweating in the back seat. With assistance from the Cy-Fair Fire Department, first responders were able to quickly and safely remove the child from the vehicle. HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A woman is in custody after allegedly stealing a pickup truck while the owner was still inside the vehicle’s bed in the 17800 block of Tomball Parkway. According to Constable Mark Herman, Precinct 4 deputies responded around 9:02 p.m. on September 11, 2025, after the owner of the pickup reported it stolen.
