Man charged and arrested after stabbing woman relative in north Houston

Robinson Hernandez Cruz has been charged and arrested for aggravated assault after he stabbed a woman family member “multiple times” on Saturday, October 22, 2022, around 9:55 p.m.

According to the Houston Police Department:

“HPD patrol officers were dispatched to 4412 North Freeway and found the victim, suspect Cruz and their four children in the parking lot of a store.  Suspect Cruz told officers the victim had been stabbed by a person trying to steal his truck and had driven them to the North Freeway location.  Officers observed the victim had multiple stab wounds on her back and side.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital.  While at the hospital, statements made by the victim and her children indicated Cruz had stabbed her.”

After learning that 35-year-old Cruz may have stabbed the woman, patrol officers searched a residence located at 2828 Bostic Street and found the knife.

The woman, who is 28 years old is recovering.
