Update 4/29/24 – Originally it was belived a woman shot the victim but this story has been updated to reflect that a man (Richard Taplin) shot the victim.
HOUSTON, TX – A woman was shot by her brother after two woman got into an argument about a man.
The shooting happened at approximately 10 p.m. on Saturday night in the 8100 block of Martin Luther King Blvd.
According to police, she was shot in the head and pronounced deceased on the scene.
The man who shot her fled the scene and has since been identified as her brother, Richard Taplin. He is now charged with murder and is still at large.
