ODESSA, TEXAS – A lawsuit has been filed in Harris County District Court, case no. 2024-27354, over the electrocution death of a field engineer at a ConocoPhillips fracking site in Odessa on January 24, 2024. The incident occurred when a forklift, operating near high voltage power lines, caught fire after striking them. The engineer, employed by Halliburton, was electrocuted while attempting to extinguish the fire. The lawsuit alleges negligence in safety management and supervision by ConocoPhillips and Halliburton.
