Man barricades himself in one apartment, and tries to fool officers by breaking into another one from the inside

HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Police Department was called after a suspect with a gun was threatening someone else who allegedly owed money to him.

This happened in the 12700 block of Ashford Point around 9 p.m.

When officers arrived, the suspect took off on foot. Officers believed he ran into one building when a lady came out and said that a man with a rifle ran into her apartment. Officers then set up a perimeter and someone else popped out of that apartment and said the suspect was not there.

As officers were contacting the District Attorney for a warrant, another witness stated that the suspect was in another building. Officers determined this was in fact where the suspect was and SWAT was called so they can talk with the suspect.

During this time, the suspect broke through sheetrock and came out another apartments door. He acted like he locked the door and tried to leave the scene. Officers noticed something was not right and stopped him. He then started to act up and they were able to I.D. him as the suspect.

There were no injuries reported. The suspect continued to act up after he was arrested ( as shown in the video above.)

He was arrested on a parole unit and will likely be facing more charges since he has threatened a woman he lives with multiple times, as well as charges for breaking into the apartments.
