Single-vehicle crash claims life of Hitchcock woman on NASA Parkway

HOUSTON, TX – Early Wednesday morning, at approximately 2:25 a.m., Deputies with Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office responded to a major traffic accident involving a single vehicle in the westbound lanes of the 2300 block of NASA Parkway.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered a silver Hyundai two-door vehicle, driven by a 39-year-old woman from Hitchcock, had left the roadway and collided with a tree. Precinct 8 Deputies extracted the woman from the wreckage and administered CPR until Nassau Bay EMS arrived. She was transported to HCA Clear Lake Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased at approximately 3:00 a.m.

No passengers or other vehicles were involved in the incident. The westbound lanes of NASA Parkway were temporarily closed while crash investigators processed the scene, reopening shortly after 6:00 a.m.

The investigation into this crash is ongoing.
