CLEVELAND, TX – A new video taken on Monday, January 27, 2025, offers a firsthand look at Colony Ridge, a large residential development located in Cleveland, near Liberty County. The footage, captured during my drive through the Terrenos Houston area of Colony Ridge, which is near FM 3549 and Highway 99, reveals a quiet, suburban neighborhood that contrasts sharply with claims suggesting it is a hub for cartels and gang activity.
In the video, which showcases my drive through the Terrenos area, I observed clean streets, rows of houses, and families going about their day. There were no visible signs of cartel or gang presence. However, I did notice quite a few dogs roaming freely in the area but areas around Houston have the same problem. This video responds to a social media post by Sarah Fields (@SarahisCensored), who alleged that Colony Ridge houses over 75,000 undocumented immigrants and has become a center for illegal activity. Fields also claimed that developer Trey Harris offered direct home loans that do not require social security numbers, purportedly attracting undocumented immigrants.
Many have asked me about colony ridge after my post about it. Colony Ridge is 40 miles north of Houston and nearly the size of Washington DC.

While the footage provides a contrasting perspective, it does not dismiss allegations made in a lawsuit filed by the State of Texas against Colony Ridge and its affiliates in March 2024. According to Case No. 4:24-cv-00941, the lawsuit accuses Colony Ridge and its developer, John Harris, of deceptive trade practices, fraud in real estate transactions, and violations of consumer financial laws, including misleading Spanish-speaking buyers about the readiness of their lots and city services.
Please note that this video only covers the Terrenos Houston area of Colony Ridge. Given the vast size of Colony Ridge, it is impossible to see it all in one visit.
