HOUSTON, Texas — Houston police are looking for a 35-year-old man they say shot his girlfriend Friday night at the Royale Apartments in southwest Houston.

Officers responded to multiple reports of a shooting around 8:50 p.m. at 9500 Stella Link Road. Police said the man shot the 39-year-old woman once in the abdomen and once in the leg in the apartment complex courtyard. He then shoved her to the ground and walked away.

The suspect’s family rendered aid before the Houston Fire Department took the woman to a hospital in stable condition.

Officers found the suspect’s vehicle abandoned a few blocks away.
