HOUSTON, TX – A man was pronounced deceased following a shooting that began inside a vehicle and escalated into gunfire on the street at a gas station in west Houston.
The shooting occurred at the corner of Harwin and Fondren at a Shell gas station parking lot. According to the Houston Police Department, a white Toyota pulled into the parking lot with four occupants when two additional males approached and got into the vehicle.
Police said an incident occurred inside the vehicle, leading to gunfire among the individuals. The shooting then moved outside, where multiple individuals exited and continued firing at each other before some fled the scene.
One individual was found at the scene and pronounced deceased. Two others arrived at a nearby hospital, where one had been shot and the other was not injured. Both are currently detained.
Police are searching for additional individuals who left the scene. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Houston Police Department Homicide Division or Crime Stoppers.
