Deputies rescue unconscious teen from burning home in Beauregard community

LEE COUNTY, AL – Deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office rescued a 16-year-old girl from a burning home in the Beauregard community on October 13, 2025. At approximately 4:09 p.m. CDT, deputies responded to a structure fire on Lee Road 41 after a 911 caller reported that a kitchen fire broke out after briefly leaving the room. Deputies Brightwell and Kennedy arrived on scene and entered the smoke-filled residence to conduct a search for occupants. Inside, they located an unconscious teenage girl on the floor, apparently overcome by smoke inhalation. The deputies pulled her to safety and began rendering aid in the front yard until EMS arrived. Dothan police search for missing 43-year-old man

DOTHAN, AL – According to the Dothan Police Department, officers are seeking the public’s help in locating 43-year-old Shaun T. Cast. Cast was last seen around 9 p.m. near the 200 block of West Main Street in Dothan. Police said he walked away from the area and has not been seen since. He is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, approximately 170 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap, red shirt, and blue jeans. Police noted it is important for his health and safety that he be located. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Dothan Police Department at 334-615-3000 or forward information to Cpl.
