POLK COUNTY, FL – Deputies arrested 51-year-old Walter Frymire after a series of unusual incidents that began with a report of a nude man inside a public park restroom, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. When deputies arrived, Frymire was fully clothed. He was trespassed from the park and released without arrest. However, shortly afterward, he crossed the street and trespassed again by climbing onto nearby railroad tracks. Deputies then took him into custody. Frymire, who has 25 prior arrests and five previous prison terms, was also found in possession of methamphetamine. LEON COUNTY, FL – A woman has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday evening in the 500 block of Ravensview Drive. According to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 5:30 p.m. on October 7, 2025, and found a deceased male victim with a gunshot wound at the residence. The suspect, 26-year-old Makayla Hooker, fled the scene but was later located and taken into custody. She has been arrested on a charge of first-degree murder. The investigation remains active. BAY COUNTY, FL – A Bay County Sheriff’s deputy has been arrested on a charge of sexual battery by a person in a position of authority. According to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Gabriel Medina, 35, was taken into custody after a woman reported that a uniformed deputy came to her home around 2:50 a.m. Sunday and used his position to intimidate her into a sexual encounter. The woman said Medina was wearing his uniform and firearm at the time and that she had previously interacted with him during earlier calls for service. JACKSONVILLE, FL - Oct. 7, 2025 - According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, homicide detectives arrested 42-year-old Mark Gordon after a weekend shooting that left 30-year-old Trevian Jackson dead. JSO said District 3 patrol officers responded about 9:30 p.m. Saturday to a report of a shooting at a seafood restaurant on Philips Highway near Baymeadows Road. Officers initially did not locate a victim at the scene. About an hour later, Jackson arrived at a local hospital with gunshot injuries and was pronounced deceased.
