JACKSON, MS – Jackson Police are investigating a homicide after a male was found deceased in a ditch with an apparent gunshot wound to the head in the 100 block of Abram Ford Drive. Murder suspect Roeland Williams turns himself in to Franklin County authorities

NATCHEZ, MS – Roeland Williams, the suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in Franklin County, has turned himself in to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities in Franklin County confirmed that Williams surrendered peacefully and is now in custody as the investigation continues. GULFPORT, MS – A federal jury has convicted Stefan Day Rowold on six counts of federal arson and civil rights violations for vandalizing and setting fire to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Wiggins, Mississippi. According to evidence presented at trial, Rowold carried out two separate attacks on the church. On July 5, 2024, he broke into the building, vandalized the interior with hateful messages, and ignited a fire in the multipurpose room using hymnals as kindling. On July 7, 2024, after law enforcement had attempted to secure the scene, he returned, broke in again, and set a second fire using cardboard and firewood. JACKSON, MS – The Jackson Police Department has obtained bench warrants for the arrests of Grayson Jackson, Dequavion Ingram, and Brain Jamal Davis. The three are wanted for capital murder in connection with the death of Reginald Brown, the city’s fortieth homicide victim of the year. The killing occurred in the 5800 block of Ridgewood Road on August 31, 2025.
