OMAHA, NE – The Omaha Police Department has confirmed that 27-year-old Dequrae Murrel has died following a shooting at Carter Lake on October 5, 2025. Murrel succumbed to his injuries at the hospital on October 6. The OPD Homicide Unit is now leading the investigation. Police initially responded to two separate reports of shootings around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, one at 809 Carter Lake Shore Drive North in Levi Carter Park, and the other at Kelly’s Liquor on North 30th Street. OMAHA, NE, June 6, 2025 – Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating 15-year-old Aleah Nicole Dominguez, who has been missing since June 4, 2025. According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, Aleah was last seen in Omaha on that date. No further details about her clothing or direction of travel have been released at this time.
