Nevada removed from federal sanctuary list after signing immigration enforcement agreement
NEVADA – The U.S. Department of Justice announced Friday it has signed a new Memorandum of Understanding with the State of Nevada to fully collaborate on immigration enforcement, resulting in Nevada’s removal from the federal list of sanctuary jurisdictions.

The original list of jurisdictions was published on August 5, 2025, under President Donald J. Trump’s Executive Order 14287. Nevada is the first jurisdiction to be removed since the list was made public.
