It was later confirmed to have occurred at The Retreat on Rosslyn, located at 5801 N Houston Rosslyn Road. Fire crews responded and successfully extinguished the blaze. The fire is fully out. HOUSTON, TX – A motorcycle passenger was killed early Sunday morning after a crash caused by a vehicle stopped in a moving lane of traffic in northeast Houston. https://youtu.be/kR_j7PcVlho The incident occurred around 12:49 a.m. in the 9100 block of Ley Road. According to Houston Police, the vehicle was stopped in the roadway after the driver fell asleep behind the wheel. A motorcycle traveling westbound swerved to avoid the stopped vehicle and dropped during the maneuver. Both the driver and passenger fell off the motorcycle. The driver of a black Chevrolet Silverado was reportedly speeding southbound when he approached a red light and attempted to swerve to avoid a gray Chevrolet Suburban stopped at the intersection. The Silverado clipped the Suburban’s side mirror, ran the red light, struck a culvert in front of the Dorchester Apartments, and overturned. The driver of the Suburban was not injured.
