HOUSTON, TX – A drive-by shooting was reported early Monday morning in the 7300 block of Colton Street in northeast Houston. Houston Fire Department and Houston Police Department responded to the scene but it is currently not known if anyone was struck. More information will follow if it becomes available

HOUSTON, TX – A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of a passenger aboard a Metro bus in southwest Houston. Credit: HPD According to Cause No. 1918144 filed in Harris County District Court, Carltonio Jackson was taken into custody on May 30, 2025, for the May 23 shooting death of Phillip Ogiemwonyi. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. in the 3200 block of West Belfort Avenue. According to Houston Police, surveillance video showed Jackson and Ogiemwonyi engaged in a verbal dispute inside the bus. Jackson reportedly pistol-whipped the victim and then shot him once in the chest as the bus came to a stop. Houston Fire Department medics transported Ogiemwonyi to Ben Taub Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at 3:08...

HOUSTON, TX – A person was reportedly assaulted near 1200 Prairie Street in downtown Houston. Bystanders performed CPR at the scene before the individual was transported to the hospital. The person’s condition is unknown at this time. Details surrounding the assault are currently unclear. More information will follow if it becomes available.

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting in the 15500 block of Gray Fall Drive in west Harris County. Life Flight was called to the scene and transported one individual to the hospital. The condition of the individual and further details about the shooting are unknown at this time. HOUSTON, TX – Houston Police are investigating a homicide in the 11700 block of the Southwest Freeway near Wilcrest. HOUSTON, TX – Houston Police are investigating a shooting and crash that resulted in a vehicle bursting into flames in northeast Houston. Photo Credit: HPD The incident occurred in the 8100 block of Oak Knoll, where initial reports indicate two vehicles were traveling down the street while shots were being fired. One of the vehicles reportedly struck a third, uninvolved vehicle, causing it to erupt into flames. The drivers of the initial two vehicles fled the scene. It is unknown if anyone was injured.
