January 14, 2023 – Two people were shot Saturday night after getting food at a taco truck in west Houston. The shooting occurred just before midnight in the 8300 block of Wilcrest.
According to Lt. Leon of the Houston Police Department, police responded to a report of a drive-by shooting that occurred at the location. When they arrived, they found two victims, a male and a female who had been shot. They were both taken to a local hospital for treatment and are expected to survive.
According to Lt. Leon, two Hispanic males in a red pickup truck drove by and shot at them. The male victim believes he may have known one of the victims but was not sure at the time.
