HOUSTON, TX – A motorcycle rider fled from Bellaire police after an attempted traffic stop on the West Loop just before 1 a.m. The rider was seen traveling southbound on the West Loop without headlights on when Bellaire police attempted to pull them over. HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Bond was set at $250,000 overnight for a man charged in connection with the death of an 84-year-old woman who was struck by gunfire inside her home in northeast Harris County. According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, Joshua Ramos, born Aug. 28, 2006, was charged with manslaughter following the March 7 shooting in the 5600 block of Saddlebred Drive. According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Ramos allegedly recklessly fired a weapon in a residential neighborhood, striking 84-year-old Joanne Bennett inside her home. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Violent Criminals Apprehension Team, with assistance from the Texas Department of Public Safety Southeast Texas Region, apprehended Ramos and booked him into the Harris County Jail.
