HARRIS COUNTY, TX - A lawsuit was filed this week against Scary Canary Pub after a woman who was served alcohol at the bar was fatally struck by a car shortly after leaving the establishment back in December 2023. The lawsuit alleges that the Scary Canary Pub located in Northwest Harris County is responsible for her death under the Dram Shop law. The lawsuit claims that the victim, Lauren Goppert was over-served alcohol by employees of the pub and then left on foot. She was then struck by a car about half a mile away. According to police at the time, Lauren was attempting to cross the roadway when she was struck by a vehicle. That driver was unable to stop in time and struck her. Charges filed against man who shot woman at bar in Magnolia Park

HOUSTON, TX - Charges have been filed against Guadalupe M. Rodriguez after he shot a 39-year-old woman at Alex and Marisela’s Bar in the Magnolia Park area of Houston. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CwitOQFibM&ab_channel=houstonstringer The shooting occurred at approximately 9 pm on Saturday night. The 39-year-old woman was critically injured and was transported to a local hospital by the Houston Fire Department. He was last seen fleeing the scene in a white GMC Terrain SUV, bearing Texas license plate TKK0506. Woman dies after being trapped in burning home

LA PORTE, TEXAS - April 22, 2024 - A structure fire was reported early Monday morning in the 300 block of S. Virginia Street. The La Porte Police Department (LPPD) received the initial call at approximately 6:50 a.m., and the La Porte Fire Department (LPFD) was dispatched to the scene. 300 S Virginia On the way there, they received notification that an adult female was trapped inside. When crews arrived, they found heavy fire and smoke and attempted to rescue the victim. Unfortunately, fire conditions pushed firefighters out of the structure and the woman was not able to be rescued by crews. Mutual aid was provided by the Port Houston Fire Department, Deer Park Volunteer Fire Department, and Seabrook Fire Department.

HOUSTON, TX (April 20, 2024) - A mother claims she shot her adult son because he attacked her during an argument about him wrecking her vehicle. The shooting occurred around 4 a.m. in the 9500 block of Fairland in Southeast Houston. The adult son was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound in the leg and the mother is said to be cooperating with investigators.

HOUSTON, TX (April 19, 2024) - A man was taken to the hospital after he was grazed in his head with a bullet during a drive-by shooting. The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. in the 5900 block of Point West. According to police, the man and his wife’s vehicle had broken down and they were parked on the side of the street when the shooting occurred. They did not see the suspect. Officers are canvassing the area and are looking for any witnesses. Two women were shot during a possible road rage shooting on the North Freeway

HOUSTON, TX (April 20, 2024) - Two women, in their mid-30s were shot while driving on the North Freeway. The shooting occurred around 1 a.m. in the 12000 block of the North Freeway, near Gears Rd on the southbound lanes of the freeway. According to police, the passenger was shot possibly in the neck and chin area. The driver was shot in the legs, and possibly in the torso, and maybe the arm. At this time, there is not much information about the shooting but it is believed to have happened when a silver car cut them off. For some reason, someone from that car started shooting.
