HOUSTON, TX – A house fire in the 3800 block of Lila Street claimed the life of one civilian and left another injured earlier this morning. The Houston Fire Department responded to the fire at approximately 1:41 a.m. The injured individual was transported for medical treatment, but their condition is unknown at this time. HOUSTON, TX – A man in his mid-30s was shot once in the leg during an incident at an apartment complex in the 1800 block of Wirt Road around 9 p.m. According to initial information, the suspect arrived at the apartment complex looking for an individual he knows through cutting hair. The resident, who lives with a roommate, answered the door, at which point the suspect displayed a weapon. The victim panicked and shut the door, prompting the suspect to fire three shots through it, striking the victim once in the leg. The victim's injuries are non-life-threatening, and he was transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention. HOUSTON, TX – Houston Police are investigating an attempted robbery that left one suspect deceased and another on the run. https://youtu.be/AOdpLY8goGE The incident occurred earlier today at Vape City, located at 1570 S Dairy Ashford Road. According to police, two suspects entered the store and attempted to rob it. During the robbery, an employee shot one of the suspects, who was pronounced deceased at the scene. HOUSTON, TX – A man was pronounced deceased following a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in the 14800 block of Westheimer Road. According to the Houston Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 3:48 a.m. when the male driver lost control of his vehicle. The car flipped, ejecting the driver, who was pronounced deceased at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
