HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian was struck and killed by an 18-wheeler while reportedly attempting to cross the North Freeway in north Houston. The crash occurred around 3:22 a.m. in the 4400 block of the North Freeway. According to the Houston Police Department, officers responded to a crash involving a pedestrian who was reportedly attempting to cross the freeway and was struck by an 18-wheeler. HOUSTON, TX – Officers with the Houston Police Department responded to a shooting just before 11 p.m. in front of the American Grocery Store located in the 6500 block of Bellfort in southeast Houston. When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper extremities of his body. The Houston Fire Department transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he underwent surgery. Police said the victim was initially in critical condition but is no longer considered to have life-threatening injuries. HOUSTON, TX – Officers with the Houston Police Department responded to a shooting around 10 p.m. at the Pine Gardens Apartments located in the 8600 block of Pitner in northwest Houston. When officers arrived, they found one adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Another adult male suffered two gunshot wounds to the upper extremities of his body and was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition, but is now in stable condition. According to the Houston Police Department, an anonymous caller found the man and called for help.
