Man arrested after he stabs girlfriend and her father before fleeing. Then stabs himself at home

A suspect has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault of a family member and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the stabbing of a man and a woman at 9919 Richmond Avenue at about 8:15 p.m. on March 8. The suspect, Dailor J. Sanchez-Crespo, 25, allegedly had a physical altercation with the 21-year-old female victim, with whom he was in a dating relationship, and then physically assaulted her.

The 49-year-old male victim, who is the woman’s father, then intervened and the suspect retrieved a knife from his apartment and stabbed both victims. Sanchez-Crespo then returned to his apartment and inflicted a self-inflicted wound. Both victims were transported to area hospitals in critical condition, while the suspect was taken to a hospital for treatment before being transported to jail. The case is being investigated by the HPD Major Assaults and Family Violence Division.
