HOUSTON, TX – A suspect is dead following a chase from League City to Houston Tuesday afternoon.
According to police, the suspect was originally wanted for a bank robbery in Dickinson, TX. Officers chased him to Cullen and Alconbury in southeast Houston where he may have shot himself. One officer discharged his weapon just before the suspect pointed the gun at his head.
During the chase, one Texas DPS trooper crashed into a civilian vehicle in Southeast Houston and another League City officer crashed out as well at the intersection of Cullen and Holmes Rd.
There were not any reported injuries of officers during the chase.
Police also stated during a press briefing that the suspect threw out a money bag at one point during the chase, but did not specify where.
