HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a tow truck late Sunday night on Westheimer near Westhollow in West Houston.
According to investigators, the driver of a white tow truck was traveling eastbound on Westheimer when it struck a 47-year-old male pedestrian who was attempting to cross the roadway.
The driver fled the scene without stopping to render aid. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. His identity is pending notification to family by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
