MILLSBORO, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested 38-year-old Djuan Sheppard of Millsboro on felony drug and weapon charges after executing a search warrant at his residence.

On August 29, 2025, members of the Sussex County Drug Unit, Sussex County Governor’s Task Force, and the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team conducted a search at a home in the 27000 block of Mount Joy Road. The warrant followed an investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics from the residence. Four adults, including Sheppard, were detained during the operation.
Troopers recovered approximately 44.81 grams of crack cocaine, 0.28 grams of cocaine, digital scales, and 9mm ammunition. Police said Sheppard, a convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition, was taken into custody without incident.
Sheppard was transported to Troop 4, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $45,100 secured bond.
Charges filed against Sheppard include:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance Tier 3 Quantity (Felony)
- Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance in a Tier 3 Quantity (Felony)
- Possession of Ammunition by a Person Prohibited (Felony)
- Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Felony)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
