WILMINGTON, DE – Wilmington Police arrested an 18-year-old man on multiple gun and drug charges following an encounter in the 2200 block of Jessup Street.
According to police, the arrest occurred around 2:21 p.m. on September 13, when members of the Special Operations Division Traffic Unit and the Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division contacted a subject illegally operating a scooter. The individual, identified as Kveon Winn, initially provided a false name.
Officers discovered Winn was in possession of a .45-caliber handgun and 0.42 grams of heroin. He was taken into custody without incident.
Winn was charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- A violation related to unlawful operation of the scooter
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $5,300 unsecured bail.
