LINCOLN, DE – Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that left a 66-year-old man seriously injured early Thursday morning in Lincoln.

At approximately 6:21 a.m. on September 18, 2025, troopers responded to a residence in the 29000 block of Fleatown Road for a report of a shooting. According to the preliminary investigation, an unidentified suspect entered the home through an unsecured door and shot the victim in the chest while he was asleep.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. His current condition has not been released.
The Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit is actively investigating the incident. No suspect description has been released at this time.
