Forks Township man charged after strangling juvenile over suspected hidden drugs

EASTON, PA – A Forks Township man was arrested after allegedly strangling a juvenile and threatening to kill them during a confrontation over suspected hidden drugs inside a residence.

On September 14, 2025, at approximately 3:29 a.m., officers from the Forks Township Police Department responded to a disturbance in the 2300 block of Jamie Court. Upon arrival, they made contact with Daniel Edward Barbaro, who admitted to assaulting the juvenile because he believed they were hiding drugs in the home.

A witness confirmed to police that Barbaro strangled the juvenile to the point they could not breathe and said he was going to “kill” them. Officers were also shown video evidence of the incident.

The victim was described by police as a juvenile, though no specific age was provided.

The Northampton County District Attorney’s Office approved charges against Barbaro, including one count of strangulation (F3), one count of terroristic threats (M1), one count of simple assault (M2), and one count of harassment – subject other to physical contact (S).
