MALIBU, CA – A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle Friday night at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Carbon Canyon Road.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred around 9:41 p.m. on September 26, 2025. A blue BMW sedan was traveling westbound in the No. 1 lane of Pacific Coast Highway when it hit a male pedestrian who was crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk.
The pedestrian was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
