Surveillance photos released of suspects wanted in fatal shooting of 19-year-old Makeyon Dean

HOUSTON, TX – Houston Police Department investigators have released surveillance photos of two suspects and a vehicle linked to the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man at an apartment complex along Martin Luther King Boulevard.

The shooting occurred around 5:05 p.m. on April 9, 2026, at 7526 Martin Luther King Boulevard.

According to the Houston Police Department, patrol officers responded to a shooting call and located an unresponsive male near a vehicle in the roadway. He had suffered at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics. The victim was identified as Makeyon Dean, 19.

Preliminary information indicates an altercation in the apartment complex parking lot led to the shooting.

Investigators have identified two Black males as suspects. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a silver 2012 to 2014 Honda Accord.
