LITTLE ROCK, AR – The Arkansas State Police are investigating a deadly crash that occurred following a high-speed pursuit late Wednesday night.

Around 10:15 p.m., an Arkansas State Police Trooper observed a red Infiniti traveling eastbound on Interstate 30 near the 133-mile marker at a high rate of speed. When the Trooper attempted a traffic stop, the driver exited at Geyer Springs Road and fled, reportedly reaching speeds over 100 mph while disregarding traffic signals and nearly hitting other vehicles.
The chase continued onto I-30 westbound, where the vehicle exceeded 130 mph before exiting at McDaniel Drive. The Infiniti struck another motorist, lost control, and crashed into heavy machinery at a nearby business, where it caught fire.
The 20-year-old male driver from Little Rock was ejected and transported to Baptist Medical Center with injuries. Two passengers were pronounced deceased at the scene after troopers freed one from the burning vehicle.
The motorist struck during the pursuit was not injured. The Arkansas State Police Highway Patrol Division is leading the investigation.
