PASADENA, TX – Dr. Candice Matthews confronted Eric Sanchez outside Pasadena City Hall following a city council meeting, then held a press briefing addressing the encounter and concerns raised by community members.
Sanchez had spoken during the meeting and, before leaving, requested that officers escort him to his vehicle, stating that Dr. Matthews was there to harm him.
During the confrontation, Dr. Matthews told Sanchez to stop what she described as harassment toward city officials, police officers, and others. She warned him to leave the mayor and city council members alone and stated she would return if the behavior continues.
Dr. Matthews said she came to Pasadena after being contacted by community members who alleged Sanchez had been harassing officials for months. She stated her actions were in response to those concerns.
Dr. Matthews also stated that Sanchez is one of the individuals in charge of the QX Global Facebook page and alleged that racist posts about her were made on that platform. She further alleged that Sanchez has also been stalking Grizzy of Grizzy’s Hood News.
She said Sanchez has been trespassed from all Casa De Montecristo cigar lounge locations after showing up last week to make false allegations about her at a location she frequents.
Dr. Matthews stated she intends to continue responding to similar situations if they arise.
