Man found shot in chest in parking lot along the Gulf Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – A man was found shot in the chest in a parking lot along the Gulf Freeway in southeast Houston.

The incident occurred around 1 a.m. in the 10900 block of the Gulf Freeway.

Officers responded to a shooting call and located an adult male with a gunshot wound to the chest area. Officers applied chest seals before the victim was transported to a nearby hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.

Police believe the shooting occurred at a different location, with the victim later found in the parking lot.

The Houston Police Department Major Assaults Division is investigating.
