HOUSTON, TX – A man was shot following a dispute after a minor crash in southwest Houston.
The shooting was reported around 11:45 p.m. in the 8700 block of South Braeswood. Officers arrived and found an adult male with a gunshot wound to the stomach.
The victim was transported by the Houston Fire Department to a local hospital and is believed to be in critical condition.
The shooting reportedly stemmed from a minor fender bender in the 10000 block of South Gessner, where an exchange of words occurred before the suspect exited a vehicle and fired at the victim.
Officers located the suspect’s vehicle in the area with the help of Flock cameras, conducted a felony traffic stop, and detained two individuals along with firearms.
The Houston Police Department’s Major Assaults Division is investigating.
