Man shot after forcing entry into home in southwest Houston, second suspect at large

HOUSTON, TX – A man was shot after forcing his way into a home following a disturbance in southwest Houston.

The shooting occurred in the 4800 block of Ingomar. According to the Houston Police Department, officers with the Southwest Division responded to a call and found a large and complex scene involving two males.

Police said both individuals were seen running down the street, with one male, described as a Black male possibly in his 20s wearing all black, appearing injured with blood on his head. He reportedly went door to door before forcing entry into a residence by kicking in the door.

During the forced entry, the homeowner shot the male multiple times. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

The second individual, described as a Black male wearing a black hoodie, jumpsuit, and mask, fled the scene and remains at large.

Police said the homeowner is not a law enforcement officer. Investigators are asking anyone with surveillance footage or information about the incident, including the events leading up to the initial injury, to contact the Houston Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
