HOUSTON, TX – A man was found deceased inside a vehicle after it crashed into a barrier in east Houston.
The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. in the 12400 block of Woodforest Boulevard.
According to the Houston Police Department, officers responded after being requested by the Houston Fire Department and located a vehicle that had crashed into a barrier. During the investigation, officers observed multiple bullet holes in the vehicle.
The driver, described as a young adult Black male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His identity has not been confirmed.
Police have not confirmed whether the male was shot. Officers recovered one spent shell casing outside the vehicle, though it is unclear if it is related to this incident. Investigators stated it is possible the shooting did not occur at this location.
There is no suspect information or known motive at this time. Detectives are canvassing the area for surveillance footage and checking with neighboring agencies for any related incidents.
